Gaya Island Resort 28.02.2024 Klara Reischl Gaya Island Resort ------------------ Auf einer kleinen Insel vor Kota Kinabalu liegt das Gaya Island Resort mitten im Nationalpark und Marineschutzgebiet. Sie finden eine Schildkrötenrettungsstation, ein Wildlife Center mit geführten Wanderungen und natürliche alle Annehmlichkeiten eines gehobenen Strandresort. --- Versteckt zwischen Mangroven, umgeben von geschützten Korallenriffen an der unberührten Sandküste der Malohom Bay liegt das luxuriöse Gaya Island Resort. Die Unterkünfte sind an den Hang des Regenwalds gebaut und erlauben großartige Ausblicke auf das Meer, den Mount Kinabalu und den Dschungel ringsum. Der Einrichtungsstil der Villen ist modern und elegant, trotzdem ökologisch mit Elementen der Region Sabah. Erholungssuchende und aktive Familien finden hier ausreichend Möglichkeiten, um ihren Urlaub zu verbringen. Nachhaltigkeit und Naturverbundenheit sind wichtig, es gibt nur wenige motorisierte Fahrzeuge auf der Insel und das Hotel bietet geführte Wanderungen an. Ein eigenes Marinezentrum widmet sich dem Erhalt der Korallenriffe und das Schildkrötenzentrum der Rettung dieser gefährdeten Tierart. Mehrmals täglich Speedboottransfer von der Gaya Lounge am Festland, wo auch der check-in stattfindet, auf die Insel. Swimmingpool, Spa, Restaurants, Fitnesscenter usw. sind dem Standard entsprechend vorhanden. Zahlreiche Aktivitäten von Tauchen und Schnorcheln bis zur Herstellung von Kunsthandwerk unter heimischer Anleitung erlauben jedem seinen Aufenthalt nach Wunsch zu gestalten.
